Compare virtual try-on apps
Side-by-side comparisons of TryOn Virtual and the try-on apps merchants ask about most, plus a fair map of who leads in each product category. Ratings and prices verified 4 October 2026.
How to choose a virtual try-on app
Start with what you sell, not with the vendor. Rigid accessories that sit on the face or wrist, such as glasses and watches, work best with real-time AR, where the product follows the shopper’s camera live. Clothing and shoes work best with AI photo try-on: the shopper uploads a photo and the product is rendered onto it, because an AR overlay can’t show how fabric drapes. Makeup is its own discipline, led by beauty-AR specialists. Most vendors do one of these well. Specialists such as Fittingbox (eyewear), Genlook and Antla (clothing) and Perfect Corp (beauty) go deepest in their category. Multi-category apps such as Camweara and TryOn Virtual trade some depth for covering several categories in one install. Then compare pricing models (per product, per try-on or per session), whether there is a free plan, and how shopper photos are handled. These pages are published by TryOn Virtual, so we state plainly where each competitor is stronger.
